Berlin Weekly – Your Mission in the Capital! Every Tuesday evening from 19:30 to 22:00 local time (17:30z–20:00z), the skies over Berlin come to life. During this time, Berlin Brandenburg Airport (EDDB) is fully staffed by controllers, transforming into the virtual hub of Germany’s capital. Whether it’s domestic hops, international long-haul departures, or busy arrival streams, Berlin offers a realistic, high-traffic experience with that unmistakable capital city vibe. Few places blend contrast like Berlin: from the wide-open landscapes of Brandenburg to the energy of the city center with iconic landmarks like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and the Reichstag — every flight here becomes something special. While IFR pilots navigate the airport’s busy traffic and complex procedures, VFR flyers are treated to a stunning aerial tour: a low pass over the Victory Column, a sweeping turn over Müggelsee, or a golden-hour cruise along the shimmering River Spree. Berlin Weekly is your weekly invitation to experience the capital from a whole new angle. Welcome to the Zurich Night, the weekly online-day of Switzerland's major airport! **Every Tuesday from 18:00z to 20:00z**, expect full staffing, professional and friendly ATC service and plenty of traffic. Enjoy one of total 4 IFR approaches or get yourself a spot as a small VFR aircraft between the big birds. VFR flights are still performed regularly despite the airport's size. A lot of small airfields in the vicinity offer numerous possibilities for short VFR hops. Zurich is a unique airport with a lot of operational restrictions due to noise abatement and its challenging layout. We know it by heart and love this airport with all its rough edges. And we are sure you gonna love it as well! Almost every Tuesday we will also staff Geneva (LSGG) and Basel (LFSB) for you with our Trainees. Check out the bookings on vacc.ch. Join our frequencies every Tuesday evening and enjoy!

Some drivers think that i-285 is the smart option to get around the middle of Atlanta traffic. However, as rush hour moves in, there is no way of making it across A-Town without pulling your hair out. Thankfully as the sun sets, this loop turns into a race track. Although the changing LED 'Speed Limit' signs show 55 mph, drivers use them merely as a suggestion. Now rather than preventing yourself from balding, you're making sure to check all of your mirrors before getting into a wreck. Experience **The Atlanta Perimeter** with vZTL as we honor the Federal Highway Administration for making such a marvelous engineering masterpiece that really didn't solve many issues... maybe it made them worse. Is it actually faster to stop at **ATL**, **PDK**, and then **FTY** by flying than it is driving? Find out on May 9th. 64 miles of pure chaos. *Always check your blind spots*.

Looking for the perfect mix of high traffic and a challenging airport? Last Friday night of the month? Put your kids to bed or place them in the right seat and start your engines, as vACC Switzerland hosts a new edition of one of its most popular events at Geneva International Airport (LSGG). Let us prove to you that size is less important than skill; with a single concrete runway, our controllers face the challenge of getting the timing just right in order to clear you to land just seconds after departing traffic’s gear has left the ground. Needless to say, expect late landing clearances. Waiting at the holding point? Get ready to line up behind landing traffic or perform a rolling takeoff, as there is bound to be traffic on short final waiting for that late call from Tower. We are fully staffed and ready to get you in and out safely, one by one. We are up to the challenge, are you? If so, look out for the chain of landing lights on the ILS in Geneva, **every last Friday of the month from 18:00z to 20:00z**. Hamburg Weekly – Your Thursday on VATSIM Every Thursday from 19:30 to 22:00 local time (17:30z–20:00z), it’s time to say “Welcome” or “Farewell” at Hamburg Airport (EDDH)! For this special evening, Hamburg goes all out — with full ATC coverage and a bustling airport environment that’s sure to excite every VATSIM pilot. Whether you’re arriving from Munich, Frankfurt, or Copenhagen, touching down with a regional jet over the Elbe, or departing southbound on a holiday charter, Hamburg is always busy — and that’s exactly what makes it so appealing. Expect dense traffic, professional ATC, and that signature Hanseatic calm — all while staying sharp and in control. But Hamburg is more than just an airport — it’s the Gateway to the World. With views of the harbor cranes, the Elbphilharmonie, and the Alster River, the airspace around Hamburg offers plenty of variety — ideal for all types of IFR operations, but also perfect for scenic VFR flights over the city. So grab your charts, fuel up, and set your course — whether you're heading to Hamburg or launching out into the world. Thursdays are Hamburg days!
FIR Evening in Bremen Airspace – Starting September 10, 19:30–22:00 Local Time Starting at September 19, we're calling: FIR Evening in the Bremen FIR! Every second Friday From 19:30 to 22:00 local time, many of the key airports across the Bremen FIR will be staffed with live ATC — including major hubs like Bremen, Hanover, Hamburg, and Berlin, along with a variety of smaller regional airfields. Pilots can look forward to a dynamic and immersive airspace, offering realistic flying conditions. Whether you're planning a short regional hop, tackling challenging approaches, flying longer IFR routes, or jumping between cities, the Bremen FIR delivers a varied and engaging experience. It’s a great opportunity to interact with experienced controllers, sharpen your skills, and enjoy realistic, high-traffic scenarios. FIR Evenings take place every two weeks, typically featuring two back-to-back IFR-focused events, followed by a VFR Special on the third. Then the cycle begins again — giving you a consistent chance to take part in a rich and ever-changing airspace environment. So take to the skies and explore Northern Germany from above: depart Hamburg with views of the Elbe and the harbor, fly a pattern over Hanover, enjoy scenic approaches into Bremen along the Weser, or head east to the capital, Berlin. And don’t overlook the smaller fields — from the coastline to the inland plains, from the Wadden Sea to the open skies of Brandenburg, the Bremen FIR is ready for you!
